My Experience with BodyTalk Part ll

Hi lovelies <3 it’s time for part two about my experience with BodyTalk. In the last post I was telling you about my fist BodyTalk session with Mikaela and a hint wat BodyTalk is all about. I must say I really like the idea and concept behind it. The reconnection to our own body and what our body has to tell about our own physical and mental well-being. Since the last BodyTalk session a lot has changed for me. I realised this when I was seeing Mikaela in her beautiful Double Bay Clinic again. We were going through the symptoms I have listed in the first session and she was asking me about any possible changes in the symptoms: When I came to Australia, I couldn’t barely eat for the first two weeks and I lost about 3-4 kilos. My appetite was completely gone which scared me a lot because I am normally the person that thinks about food 24/7 and I am also ALWAYS hungry. Since our last session, my appetite came back and I am …

My experience with BodyTalk

Have you ever heard about BodyTalk? Our body is so much more than we use to think it is. Our body has its own memories and it communicates with our subconscious seamlessness. I am aware about that since a long time, nevertheless our daily habits and stressful routines make us loose connection to our “bodi-mind“ and we forget way to often to rebalance ourselves and to listen to what our body has to tell. Moreover it is really not easy to do this on our owns… That’s why I am so happy and grateful that Mikaela Duffy helps me to reconnect to my body on a one-month therapy. I want to share those experiences with you in order to maybe inspire and help you as well. “BodyTalk is an astonishing simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body’s energy systems to be resynchronized so that they can operate as nature intended. When a body is operating at it’s optimal level, each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at …

no experience is ever waisted

Have you ever had the feeling that whatever you’ve done was a waist of time? You spend too many months or years doing the wrong job? You have the feeling that you took some “wrong” paths in your life? You want to erase few experiences with some di**heads? I think we all know those situations where we feel like we could have put a certain effort for something better, something more efficient for us. Something that leads us to our goals in life. I had the same thoughts and feelings about some situations in my life before I randomly met a very experienced Indian businessman in Zurich with whom I had such an inspiring conversation. What got stuck in my had were his words: “no experience is ever waisted”. It somehow blew my mind in this moment. No. Experience. Is. Ever. Waisted. Every experience in our life forms us and influences our thoughts and our behaviour. Even the most unpleasant experiences are somehow a part of us. When we try to push them away, to …

the reasons I stayed VEGAN

Hey there amigos! In the last post I was telling you about the reason I went vegan and how amazingly it changed my life. You can surely tell that I went vegan because of health issues. This is a very egoistic reason to skip eating animal products along all other possible reasons. It’s about me. It’s about the way I feel better. But there are so much more reasons to go vegan! Reasons that kept me motivated everyday to stay vegan, especially in the starting time of changing my diet: My impact on other people I’ve never been the type of girl who would scream at meat eaters and try to lecture them. Not at all and I never will! I just want to share with you the reasons I follow a plant-based diet. I’m vegetarian for 14 years now and vegan for almost 7 years. I do it because I’m totally convinced by it. What I recognised was that people in my environment started slowly to show more interest. Some of them started arguing with …

the reason I went VEGAN

Hey guys! Today I want to write about a quite sensitive topic: The reason I started a plant-based diet. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with a rare auto immun condition. It was a long, hard and painful process of one and a half year to finally get a right diagnose. I spend months and months visiting different doctors, specialist and I ended up in hospital after I suddenly collapsed. The doctors didn’t really know what was wrong with me. I had to go through every test you can imagine, lots and lots of blood was taken from me to test this and that. With no success, nothing could be found. But I had so much pain in my whole body. Especially my legs and my arms hurt so much so that I was sleepless almost every night. My bones felt like cracking and my muscles felt so week. Not even the strongest pain killers could help. More and more symptoms came along. My stomach begun to hurt, I had feelings of numbness in …

why I think beauty is boring

Beauty is boring. Did I really just say that? Beauty is soooo boring. Show me someone with compassion, kindness and good energy and I’ll show you someone who represents my kind of beauty. The beautiful beauty, the beauty you need nowadays to make a dent. Today, a beautiful face is not enough. It’s the aura of us that carries our handsomeness. It’s the way we talk and move, the way we articulate and the way we shine from the inside out with the right thoughts and beliefs in our mind. Isn’t it tragical that when we speak about beauty, we use to speak about the look of someone? Have you ever met those people that not really fit into the general classification of a pretty face or perfect model sizes, but still there is something so beautiful about them? Something intangible that you fail to describe? I’m a true believer that beauty is way more than just the look of our bodies. But still, especially for us women and young girls it’s all about our …

from actual to ideal self

wooohooo it’s just me myself and I… Me. Myself. And I. The self. But who am I? Who is my SELF? Most of us have a very critical view on their selves. Here, the psychology distinguishes between the actual and the ideal self: The actual self refers to the person or the self that we think we already are. The ideal self is the person we wish to be. Let’s have a closer look at the actual self first: “I’m not good enough, I can’t do that, my legs are too fat…” Feels familiar? But why are we so critical with ourselves? And most important: How can we be more relaxed with our self-image? Sadly but true, most of us are programmed to pay more attention to our failures rather than to our successes. If we do something good, if we accomplish something, we mostly have a few seconds of joy. If we do something embarrassing we probably think about that weeks later. And that’s shit because when we have this programming in our mind, …

un-jealous yourself

My mom always told me to not be jealous. Yeah thanks mum, great when you see all the kids with so much stuff you want to have. I never really understood why she was saying that. Not until now, when I grew up a wise young woman (lol). Being jealous is indeed a very harmful thing: you feel bad about yourself and actually it doesn’t change anything about your situation. As a superstitious Siberian, my mom even told be to protect myself from jealousy by not showing off everything I had or accomplished. Hard for me not cruising around with my newest bike to attempt I was the coolest kid on the blog (I was definitely not). But somehow, this permanently got stuck in my had and I was observing that on myself as I was growing older: Especially when I started traveling, I got more and more wry looks from people asking me why I could afford this or hearing the sentence: “Your traveling again? Well I have to sit in the office the …

it’s time to take responsibility

Current circumstances in the world are bucking the image of humanity. There are so many questions, questions for which you and me have no answers. Questions about how this world can be damaged in so many ways… we feel powerless. But at the same time, maybe it’s just a tiny little spark, there is so much light and hope for a better world. Sure, we won’t be able to undo all the tragic that happened and fix the world over night. Maybe things will get worse and we won’t see peace for a long time. But I tell you what: Every one of us has the power to change the world around us by starting with the person in the mirror. We are not responsible for other person’s actions. But, hell yeah, we are responsible for every decision we take and every step we make. If each of us starts trying to be a better person, spread a little more love and show a little more compassion for other human beings, this tiny little spark …
