My experience with BodyTalk

Have you ever heard about BodyTalk?

Our body is so much more than we use to think it is. Our body has its own memories and it communicates with our subconscious seamlessness.

I am aware about that since a long time, nevertheless our daily habits and stressful routines make us loose connection to our “bodi-mind“ and we forget way to often to rebalance ourselves and to listen to what our body has to tell. Moreover it is really not easy to do this on our owns…

That’s why I am so happy and grateful that Mikaela Duffy helps me to reconnect to my body on a one-month therapy.

I want to share those experiences with you in order to maybe inspire and help you as well.

So the theory…

I didn’t really know what to expect and how my body would response to this kind of therapy but I was more than curious!

So I met Mikaela at her lovely practice in Double Bay. I was welcomed with a warm greeting, I felt totally comfortable from the first second when I met her and entered the treatment area.

Mikaela begun to ask me questions about my daily habits, my health status and my nutrition. It felt really good to tell her about anything that burdens me, all the old and new symptoms that come along with my autoimmune condition and even the emotional concerns I use to have.

Mikaela is so caring, I felt like she is an old friend which made the whole conversation so super natural and lovely.

Even though I know a lot about a healthy diet myself, Mikaela gave me some awesome tipps about how I could achieve even higher nutritional value throughout the day for my whole body. She adjusted it totally individually for me and I begin to implement the tipps the next day and I am so happy about that! I feel so much better incorporating turmeric, ginger powder and seaweed flakes into my daily nutrition. Moreover I added some more healthy fats out of avocados, tahini and nuts.

The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the fact that I have to let go of my coffee addiction 😅

I really know myself that coffee is not really good for me personally, my stress level rises and my nervous system is highly affected. Nevertheless I couldn’t let go of coffee but after Mikaela‘s consultation I really wanted to keep on the coffee detox track.

I must admit I had one last coffee though to say goodbye haha.

Mikaela advised me to try Dandelion tea to replace coffee. It’s a bit bitter as well and really health for the liver, a really good and healthy alternative.

After her lovely consultation we begun with the body talk therapy.

Lying on the mate, she begun to waken up my “body-mind” by tapping on some spots such as my head. It is crazy, but I felt immediately how warm energy was running through my body.

I felt sooooo relaxed and let Mikaela do her work. She gave me a really good feeling and was telling me about how my immune system is awaken now and functioning on a better level.

It turned out that my latest symptoms are connected with concerns to money. First it didn’t really make sense to me and Mikaela told me that this is totally fine. But right when I left her praxis it made total sense to me as I felt super lost after finishing my studies three months ago. It has been the typical after-graduation struggles and “what to do with my life”, how to earn my living etc.

I was really amazed by this fact.

Post treatment, I have to say that I have the best sleep ever! Mikaela told me that every body is responding differently to the treatment, it could be that I will have the weirdest dreams but I was really happy that I felt more stable, more energised and having the best rests at night.
